I have a weird issue with LMS 7.9.1 (installed on a qnap NAS) whereby I can't install third party plugins. If I select a plugin and restart as requested it just doesn't show up in the installed list. Scroll down and there it is in the uninstalled list as if I hadn't done anything. Sometimes it shows 'an updated version of x plugin is available' at the top of the page after I try and install, but if I choose to update the plugin then I get the same result. It seems to happen with.any. 3rd party plugin I try to install.I have tried disabling and enabling an already installed plugin (I tested with the flickr plugin) and that works absolutely fine.Anyone have any ideas?
It's really irritating, I just want to install spotify protocol handler! All working now! Thank you so much for your brilliant fast reply.
The URL applied in the repository appears at the top of the Plugins page 'Bad repository - 404 Not Found', but I am able to access this URL via Google and download it to my Windows desktop.Do you lack the IO::Socket::SSL module on your system? Check yourserver.log. Right after the restart there might be a warning about SSL.And a little more information about your system might help, too.-MichaelHi Michael. Thank you for your reply.I apologize for not providing my system information.
How do I get spotify on my squeezebox touch? Click on Plugin tab. To run it, you need to install your own LMS (Logitech Music Server),.
Not used to posting, only reading.I run LMS in my Vortexbox which is plugged directly into my modem. I stream the music files through my Squeezebox which is connected direct to my Denon AVR in the lounge room by optical cable (I hope that's the system info you mean). This problem first surfaced about one month ago when I bought an Oppo UDP-203 blu-ray player. I had read some comments where people had been able to connect their SBT to it to take advantage of the AKM DAC that is in the player. From what I could find it seems that I connect via USB between the SBT and the Oppo and have the 'Enhanced Digital Output' applet installed (which it has been for quite sometime now), and have the Oppo connected to the Denon AVR analogue.I had no success with this. I then noticed the 'EDO Release Kernel' and 'USB Test Kernel #7' in the Kernel Installer setting so tried to install them too. As I said in my first post, every time I tried to download them it would indicate they were downloading, the SBT would reboot, but they would still appear in the Kernel Installer.I've also tried the optical connections between the SBT and Oppo and 3-4 factory resets with no success. After a factory reset had no problems getting LMS up-to-date.So, in frustration, I decided to use the Oppo UDP-20X smartphone app instead. Whilst this picks up the LMS in the VB and allows me to play my music files using the AKM DAC (the files do sound sensational BTW!) it is very 'clunky' and not as good as the Squeezer app I used before.
No gapless playing and it won't allow you to pick one song at-a-time and make up a playlist whilst the songs are playing. You have to wait for the song playing to finish before you can pick another one to play.It was suggested to me to add philippe44's 'squeeze2upnp' plugin to see if that would make it 'less clunky' but, as I've said, I cannot install it.So that is my situation.
I'm afraid I'm very much a Newbie when it comes to actually delving into the 'guts' of the SBT so I don't know how to access the server.log.Sorry! This plugin doesn't seem to be present in LMS 7.9.0. I wonder if you have upgraded from an older version of LMS and this extension was somehow disabled and has stayed that way.
I'd certainly delete the cache.db file, and try reinstalling LMS to see if the 3rd party plugins re-appear.
